Legal Assistant

The Legal Assistant is required to provide a full range of secretarial and administrative support services to busy corporate and commercial law practices.  A minimum of five years’ experience in a legal environment, with a working knowledge of all areas of law, and graduate of legal assistant or paralegal program preferred.
Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office and complementary document creation and management applications, transcription, typing, paper and electronic file management, and legal accounting software.  Excellent organization skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision are required.  Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and sound judgment with a high level of professionalism, interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a team environment, establish priorities, meet deadlines and adapt to new procedures.
